Field Closing and Hazardous Weather Info

If it is raining, and the fields are open, PLAY ON!

To check whether home fields are open in the event of bad weather or wet fields, call the Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation hotline 614 583 5345. This will be your best source of information. Information is posted after 3:30 pm weekdays and 8:30 am on weekends.

If there is thunder or lightning during practices or games, teams should leave the fields and take appropriate cover.

• Moving to your automobile is a quick way to ensure your safety during thunder or lightning conditions.
• Parents should be aware of weather conditions for early pick up.

Below is the MOSSL Bylaw which covers dangerous weather conditions:

MOSSL Administrative Bylaw 7.18.1

7.18.1: A game or practice shall be immediately suspended if lightning is seen or if thunder or an audible tornado or hazardous weather siren is heard. Any game or practice that is suspended due to lightning, thunder or an audible tornado or hazardous weather siren shall not be restarted until at least 30 minutes has passed after lightning is last seen or that thunder or an audible tornado or hazardous weather siren or if an ALL CLEAR siren is heard.
