Santos FC teams compete in a variety of soccer tournaments throughout the year.
The Santos FC coaching staff will determine which tournaments your particular team will attend. They take into consideration skill level, age, competition, available dates, and other factors specific to each team before deciding which team will compete in a tournament. Tournament locations can be anywhere in the Columbus area, the State of Ohio or surrounding states.
The Santos FC Tournament Coordinator organizes most club tournament arrangements. Out of town tournament organizers will require that we stay in their affiliated hotels. By doing so, it reduces the total cost of the tournament registration fees. We choose hotels that can accomodate all of us in one facility and is moderately priced. We reserve rooms for approximately 75% of the number of families scheduled to attend. Please make your arrangements as soon as your team administrator informs you to make your reservation. Waiting can result in no rooms available with the group.
Parents are responsible for their own cost of transportation, meals and hotels. Santos adds a tournament fee to your regular fees for tournament expenses. We poll each team to see if you want to attend or if there are conflicts. If your team has enough players and wants to play, Santos will add a tournament fee to your regular fees. We feel this is a team event and that all players on the team are expected to pay. The tournament fee includes cost of registration, per diem for the coaches, meals and their hotel expenses. This expense is spread over all teams going.
